Overview NaphCare is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to join our team of healthcare professionals at the Washoe County Jail in Reno, Nevada. We are actively growing our nursing team and have opportunities available on both day and night shifts. Whether you're looking for a full-time career move or part-time flexibility, we would love to speak with you. Salary range for this position is $36.95 - $39.00/hour. As a Correctional Nurse, you will work alongside correctional officers and a multidisciplinary medical team to provide quality healthcare to an underserved patient population. In this fast-paced, structured environment, you'll perform assessments, administer medications, manage chronic conditions, respond to urgent medical needs, and make a meaningful impact on patients with complex healthcare needs. No two days are the same in correctional healthcare. You'll gain valuable experience, strengthen your clinical skills, and work with a diverse patient population while enjoying a stable environment that allows you to focus on patient care. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, medication history
Qualifications Experience / Requirements / Qualifications
Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
