Now Hiring: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: South Bend, IN

Pay: $36.00 per hour

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic III to support production and facility equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems to keep operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities



  • Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment including electrical and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose issues with motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controls
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and complete work orders
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Maintain and repair components such as motors, belts, chains, bearings, and piping systems
  • Support wastewater system monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Assist with equipment changeovers and general maintenance support
  • Utilize CMMS/SAP systems to track maintenance activities and parts
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures
  • Partner with operators and cross-functional teams to resolve issues quickly



Required Qualifications



  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with PLC systems and electrical controls
  • Experience with industrial wiring and control systems
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
  • Familiar with tools such as multimeters and diagnostic equipment
  • Knowledge of AC/DC drives and motor controls
  • Understanding of NEC standards
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and different shifts as needed
  • Strong attendance and reliability



Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with SAP or CMMS systems
  • Associate degree in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Technology OR
  • completion of a technical apprenticeship
  • 5-7 years of related maintenance experience
