Valiant is looking for a Plumber to join our team! The Electrician performs maintenance and repair of equipment & systems and building features as required with an emphasis on Plumbing equipment, fixtures and systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines and systems.
- Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
- Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
- Calibrates machine controls for optimal performance and safety
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Create project takeoffs, orders and installs replacement parts for machines and systems.
- Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
- Repairs broken machines quickly, efficiently and safely.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed (PMs, WOs, etc).
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines, equipment and systems.
- Collaborates with project manager regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
- Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
- Plumbing license required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Good communication skills; ability to follow directions in English.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
- Must be able to pass national background check & drug screen
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Work in hot/cold environments.
- Must be able to safely climb stairs and ladders, occasionally work at heights
