Job Summary Independently manage Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) during complex cardiac surgical procedures, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes.Provide full extracorporeal life support for a wide range of cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, congenital heart defect repairs, aortic aneurysm repairs, cardiac transplants, VAD implants, and select lung transplant procedures. Monitor and optimize Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) performance, ensuring safe and effective circulatory support for patients requiring mechanical cardiac assistance. Perform extracorporeal venovenous (VV) bypass and shunting procedures to support hemodynamic stability and blood management during complex liver, vascular, and tumor resection surgeries. Operate and manage extracorporeal clot-removal systems (AngioVac) for patients undergoing treatment for pulmonary or cardiac embolisms. Provide advanced expertise in extracorporeal circulation technologies and support clinical research protocols involving perfusion and circulatory support systems. Qualifications Education
