Location: Horseshoe Bay Resort

Company Overview

Horseshoe Bay Resort is a luxury destination on Lake LBJ. We are seeking banquet servers who deliver consistent, high-quality service professionally and courteously.

Job Summary

Responsible for the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events. Delivers food and beverages in accordance with established service standards.

Essential Responsibilities

Service and Guest Relations



  • Follow established steps of service and company standards
  • Greet guests and respond promptly to requests
  • Serve food and beverages according to event requirements
  • Refill beverages and monitor guest satisfaction
  • Clear dishes promptly
  • Maintain professional and respectful interactions with guests and team members


Setup and Breakdown



  • Follow directions from Banquet Captains
  • Set up function rooms with linens, tableware, and glassware
  • Prepare coffee breaks, buffets, and bars based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Attend pre-shift meetings
  • Reset rooms after events according to specifications
  • Maintain clean and organized event spaces


Standards and Compliance



  • Comply with all alcohol service regulations
  • Follow company safety and security procedures


Minimum Requirements

Certifications



  • Minimum age: 18
  • TABC certification (required)
  • Tips certification (required)
  • Food handler certification (required)


Skills and Abilities



  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service and guest relations
  • Experience with fine dining or formal service standards
  • Ability to carry up to 30 lbs throughout shifts
  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards
  • Strong teamwork and reliability


Additional Qualifications



  • Prior banquet or resort experience preferred
  • Knowledge of table settings and serviceware
  • Ability to follow product handling instructions
  • Ability to learn and describe menu items

Qualifications
Education
Some college (preferred)
High School (required)
Experience
Event Setup/Service Staff - 1+ year experience in banquet setup, room resets, and coordinating with event teams and captains (required)
Restaurant Server - 3+ years experience in full-service or fine dining environments with strong guest service focus (required)
Banquet Server - 2+ years experience in high-volume events, delivering plated and buffet service while maintaining service standards (required)
