Job Description




As a Security Officer Desk Operations Associate in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a professional commercial real estate location, where you will welcome tenants and visitors, manage access, monitor lobby activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the front desk of a commercial real estate location.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, greet and direct guests, and assist with visitor check-in, identification review, and access-related processes in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with building management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, support tenant and visitor inquiries, and complete reports, logs, and other front desk documentation related to daily operations and security-related events.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining awareness of entry points, observing lobby activity, and following post orders for deliveries, vendors, and guest access.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
