Position: General Labor
Pay: $17.90/hour
Schedule: AWS Rotating Schedule (3-2-2-3)
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
- Starting and ending times may vary based on production needs. Overtime is required.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE...
As a General Labor team member, you will play a critical role in supporting bakery production and packaging operations. Working under supervision, you will help maintain efficient production flow, product quality, food safety standards, and operational continuity by providing coverage where needed across departments. Your flexibility, teamwork, and commitment to safety will contribute to delivering quality products to customers every day.
WHAT YOU WILL DO...
- Review production and equipment status with the previous shift, including any mechanical or operational issues.
- Straighten product before it enters the slicer.
- Monitor slicer infeed operations to prevent product jams and production disruptions.
- Remove damaged or thrift product from the production line.
- Rack product when production lines experience downtime or interruptions.
- Pack products into baskets according to established quality and packaging specifications.
- Remove damaged baskets and place them in designated storage areas.
- Assist Bagger Operators and Packaging Attendants as needed.
- Place and remove product lids during packaging operations.
- Remove trash and maintain clean production areas throughout the shift.
- Accurately complete all required production and food safety documentation, including HACCP and CTS records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors regarding production concerns and operational needs.
- Follow all Job Safety Analysis (JSA) requirements and safety procedures.
- Perform sanitation and cleaning duties as assigned.
- Work in bakery, packaging, make-up, or other departments as required based on staffing needs.
- Train on alternate shifts when necessary.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE... (MUST HAVE)
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Ability to work in multiple production departments as business needs dictate.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, GMPs, HACCP programs, and company policies.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Ability to frequently perform repetitive movements, including turning, reaching, and product handling.
- Ability to occasionally lift products weighing between 2 and 30 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing production demands.
- Ability to maintain accurate production and food safety records.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE... (NICE TO HAVE)
- Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, bakery, or food processing experience.
- Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
- Knowledge of food safety programs, including GMP and HACCP standards.
- Experience completing production documentation and quality records.
- Experience operating or working around production equipment, conveyors, slicers, or packaging systems.
- Flexibility to cross-train and support multiple operational areas.
Work Environment:
This position involves working 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels and temperatures ranging from climate-controlled to warm conditions. Employees may encounter wet or dry ingredients that create slippery surfaces and must remain vigilant regarding workplace safety. Continuous standing, walking, and repetitive motion are required throughout the shift. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
