The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU)is a 32-bed adult inpatient surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor,telemetry, and intermediate care for acute cardiac, vascular, and other surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Care and services provided: coronary artery bypass, Heartmate II or III & Heartware mechanical circulatory support devices, valve replacement or repairs, Type A & B aortic dissections, fem-pop bypass, scalenectomy, TAVR, heart or lung transplantation.

• Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
• One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
