Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Coordinator Staff Relations for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). This position reports to the Assistant Director of Employee Services and leads the Strategic Organizational Support (
SOS) unit within Institutional Planning and Operations (IP&O). The
SOS unit functions as the pre-transactional workforce planning, recruitment strategy, and organizational intake arm of Employee Services. This role serves as a strategic advisor to the Employee Services and IP&O leadership, hiring managers, and supervisors by guiding workforce planning, organizational design, and recruitment readiness prior to transactional processing.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- May directly supervise one staff member in support of SOS operations with a Grade 3 Administrative position responsible for intake coordination, documentation management, scheduling, and operational support.
- Provides direction, prioritization, training, and performance management to ensure high-quality service delivery, consistency, and compliance across all SOS functions.
- In addition to daily activities, the position actively represents IP&O and Employee Services at recruitment fairs, outreach events, and workforce development initiatives, serving as a visible ambassador for divisional hiring needs and employment programs.
- The role works directly with neurodivergent candidates, community partners, the craft trainee program, and internal stakeholders to support inclusive hiring pathways, ensuring recruitment strategies, job design, and onboarding readiness are accessible, equitable, and aligned with institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
- The position oversees SOS programs and provides consultative services that ensure employment actions are strategically aligned, compliant, and operationally sound before entering the Transactional Employee Lifecycle (TEL) workflow.
- The role ensures IP&O departments receive consistent, informed, and proactive workforce planning support.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in higher education administration, public administration, management, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of management and administrative principles and practices.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
