Position Summary:

  • Performs the functions of LPN in implementing and evaluating nursing care for all assigned patient care in collaboration with a registered nurse. Must practice within the scope of practice as described by the State of Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

As an LPN, you'll play a key role in patient care. You'll ensure smooth operations, collaborate with a registered nurse, work with members of a team to evaluate patients and impliment nursing care while practicing within the LPN scope of pratice as described by the State of Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include:

  • Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma required.
  • Current BLS required.
  • ALS is required within six (6) months of employment
  • De-escalation (TEAM) training required within six (6) months.
  • 1 year Full or Part-time (greater than 20 hours per week) hospital-based experience required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • It is strongly recommended that the LPN continue their nursing education and pursue RN licensure.
  • Participates in the modification of the plan of care by collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary team with consideration of the developmental needs of the patient.
  • Participates in the evaluation of the patient's response to interventions based upon predicted outcome.
  • Reassesses the patient as defined in the Nursing Standards of Care Policy and modifies the plan of care as needed.
  • Contributes to the assessment of the patient by conducting focused assessments of the patient.
  • Collects data and compares the data collected to the patient's previous condition and documents/reports as appropriate.

This role is ideal for a clinically strong LPN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to work varied shifts and weekends as needed.
