Mental Health Technician Opportunity -

River Park Hospital is hiring for full time and Per Diem Mental Health Technicians (MHTs)! The full-time position offers 40 hours per week and a comprehensive benefits package.

This position offers a $2,500 sign on bonus!

The sign on bonus is paid out in the following increments:

  • $500 at 3 months
  • $1000 at 6 months
  • $1000 at 12 months

River Park Hospital is a 165-bed facility and a leader in behavioral health care, located in Huntington, WV. River Park provides acute inpatient services to children, adolescents, adults and seniors and features a 22-bed residential treatment program for children and adolescents and a 25-bed adult forensic unit. River Park was recently recognized as a Top Performer by Joint Commission and maintains the highest standards for quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum
  • Assure and improve quality care by facilitating the patient and family's right to receive safe, quality, and cost-effective care
  • Maintain and protect confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information
  • Demonstrate a commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients by utilizing appropriate resources to meet those needs and achieve positive patient outcomes
  • Conduct patient rounds related to routine and heightened observation status
  • Interact in a therapeutic manner to decrease crisis within the patient care setting
  • Demonstrate respect and understanding for patients, peers and other clinical disciplines and participates as an effective member of the patient care team

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Six months experience in a mental health setting preferred
