Our team of professionals includes board-certified child/adolescent and adult psychiatrists, licensed clinical therapists, nurses and mental health associates who are here to help people reconnect with their families, friends and employers so that they may lead productive lives. Tucked within the wooded hills of Central Arkansas, The BridgeWay is just moments away from the major highways that unite Arkansans throughout the state. The BridgeWay is currently seeking an Intake Clerk to join our team!

The Intake Clerk serves as the communication and information center for the hospital. This position correctly answers and routes all incoming telephone calls, takes messages, and ensures smooth functioning of the hospital switchboard and telephone communications. The Intake Clerk cordially greets and receives hospital guests, establishes their needs and appropriately directs visitors. The Intake Clerk also completes other tasks to assist the Intake department such as data entry, insurance verification, checks faxes, and other clerical type responsibilities.

Qualifications

Job Specifics: Part-Time 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Requirements

Total education, vocational training and experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in switchboard operations or customer service preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to communicate orally in a clear, concise manner with employees, physicians, administration, the medical staff, and the public.
  • Proficient computer skills to operate Intake technology.
  • Effective interpersonal skills are required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
