WHO WE ARE: Canyon Creek Behavioral Health(a Universal Health Services facility) is a facility serving the behavioral health needs of adolescents and adults in Temple, Texas and all surrounding areas of Central Texas. Our behavioral health center provides treatment options for individuals struggling with psychiatric health, chemical dependency and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. For more information about Canyon Creek Behavioral Health, please visit our website at https://canyoncreekbh.com/ POSITION: NURSE MANAGER The Nurse Manger is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision of House Supervisors, RN's and MHTs. This position will monitor staffing needs on assigned shifts. This position is responsible for assisting the DON/ADON in evaluating, reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all RN//MHT staff required training. Also provides, on as-needed basis, patient nursing assessments. Participates in Treatment Team meetings as needed. BENEFIT AND REWARDS HIGHLIGHTS
Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: A minimum of one (5) years of experience progressive nursing leadership experience. Experience in staff education and education concepts, practices and procedures and 24 hour shift staffing experience. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.CPR certification within 30 days of employment and successful completion of training in Management of Assaultive Behavior (CPI) Crisis Prevention Intervention and Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment.
