Position Summary: Our COOK (Per Diem) position presents an ideal opportunity for an energetic, motivated individual with prior experience working in a dietary or culinary setting. Prepares meals for patients, employees and special functions according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. Universal Health Services, Inc. Notice Qualifications Education: High School Graduate/GED - Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience Serv Safe Certification - Required Specialized Skills and Knowledge: 1. Knowledge of basic therapeutic diets, food service sanitation, and food portion and waste control. 2. Knowledge of industrial kitchen operations and procedures, as well as industrial equipment and utensils, and skill in utilizing such. 3. Ability to cook in large quantities. 4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Coordinates tray service and sets up tray line and cafeteria line for meal service. 2. Follow menus and recipes as provided by the Director of Food & Nutrition Services and Dietician. 3. Accurately prepare food for modified diets, consulting with Dietician as required. 4. Complete and prepare meals in a timely manner as prescribed by posted meal times. 5. Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position. | |
