Summary:
Part-time (approx. 28 hours per week, which will include some nights and weekends). The Pocono Campus Learning Center Program Manager is instrumental in supporting student success by creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where students are empowered to become independent learners through individualized academic support. The Manager also supports the staff of the center by offering guidance and professional development opportunities and manages day-to-day operations.

Reporting to the assistant director with a "dotted line" relationship to the Learning Center director as a member of the Learning Center core team, specific activities include recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and mentoring peer and professional tutors, academic coaches, and student front desk assistants; overseeing the front desk; utilizing tutor scheduling software (WC Online); and contributing to center and program initiatives. Although the primary responsibilities of the role are administrative, the program manager will also tutor students when staffing needs are necessary.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree, knowledge of tutoring and/or teaching pedagogy, experience in higher education or another academic environment, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to learn new technologies, and an enthusiastic commitment to lifelong learning and supporting the growth and success of all students and staff are required. A master's degree, previous leadership or supervisory experience, experience working with diverse populations, and/or experience working in a college level tutoring program or another student success program are preferred.
