The College of Computing was established in 1990 as the first such College at a public university and the second in the United States. Since that time, the college has grown into a world-class leader in research and education. The graduate CS program is currently ranked 6th and the undergraduate 5th nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The College consists of five Schools that provide specialized and general computing education to the entire campus. With over 16-degree programs, including its world-renowned online MS in CS, we believe the College to be the largest Computing unit in the United States and, as such, one of the largest producers of computationalist at all levels and of all demographic backgrounds. The College is a part of the Georgia Institute of Technology, a unit of the University System of Georgia and is primarily located in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. Job Summary
Responsible for the capture of new revenue opportunities within assigned relationship portfolio. Recognized revenue streams will include sponsored research funding, gifts, executive and professional education, utilization of university resources, licensing and other forms of revenue from corporate partners. Responsible for planning and implementing a coordinated program of revenue-generating business development activities. Use advanced relationship building skills to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward significant corporate relationships and investments. Establish and effectively manage relationships with critical, high-profile prospects. Co-design and implement strategic business development plans. Manage special events to involve and cultivate prospects. Collaborate with deans and faculty, and coordinate with other corporate-facing staff. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Deans, school chairs, faculty, academic unit and program leadership, and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Office of Corporate Engagement (OCE) colleagues, university leadership, internal campus stakeholders and partners, and external corporate partners. Additional Preferred Qualifications 10+ years in corporate engagement, business development, fundraising, sponsored research, or strategic partnerships; experience in higher education, research institutions, or the tech sector. Proven success securing corporate partnerships, sponsored research funding, or major philanthropic investments. Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships (faculty, executives, industry partners) and leading/supervising teams. Familiarity with computing, engineering, AI, cybersecurity, data science, or related fields. Experience developing and executing strategic engagement or revenue growth initiatives. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with CRM and partnership tracking tools; willingness to travel up to 25%. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
