Construction Estimator

Overview

We are a growing construction company specializing in exterior tenant improvements and capital improvement projects for HOAs and multifamily communities across the Greater Bay Area. Our work includes large-scale exterior renovations, structural repairs, and building envelope upgrades.

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to take ownership of project estimating and support execution. This is a key growth hire with the opportunity to step into a leadership role, contribute to business development, and help scale our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Preconstruction

• Prepare detailed estimates, takeoffs, and scopes (often without complete plans)
• Evaluate opportunities and develop accurate project pricing
• Review larger estimates ($200K+) as a second set of eyes
• Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and internal teams

Project Execution

• Manage assigned scopes from estimating through handoff/execution
• Support field teams with scope clarity, budgeting, and coordination

Typical Projects

• HOA and multifamily exterior renovations
• Dry rot and structural framing repairs
• Building envelope work (siding, windows, doors, waterproofing, paint)
• SB 721 compliance (decks, structural connections)
• Large-scale exterior enhancement and paint cycles

Leadership

• Act as a senior estimator and mentor to junior team members
• Help improve estimating processes and standards
• Contribute to client relationships and business growth

Qualifications

• Strong estimating experience in construction (multifamily/exterior preferred)
• Ability to build scopes and pricing with limited documentation
• Knowledge of structural repairs and exterior systems
• Detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and proactive
• Comfortable balancing estimating and project coordination

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
