Role Summary
Godfrey & Wing, a global leader in vacuum impregnation technology, is seeking an Electrical Assembler III to join our team in Aurora, Ohio. This advanced-level role is designed for highly skilled electrical assemblers who can take ownership of complex wiring projects, perform detailed troubleshooting, and provide technical leadership within the assembly team. The Electrician II will play a key role in ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of custom equipment built for advanced
manufacturing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly and wiring of electrical panels, control systems, and custom equipment based on complex engineering drawings and schematics
- Execute precise conduit and wiring layouts to meet performance, safety, and aesthetic standards
- Perform advanced functional testing, troubleshooting, and verification of electrical systems, identifying and resolving issues efficiently
- Collaborate with engineering to provide feedback on design improvements, manufacturability, and system reliability
- Mentor and support junior level assemblers, sharing technical expertise and best practices
- Oversee quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards, NEC requirements, and customer specifications
- Support system integration, including assisting with installation, commissioning, or field modifications when required
- Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), NEC compliance, and internal quality control processes
- Travel up to 15% for customer service trips, installations and warranty issues
Qualifications:
- Advanced experience in electrical assembly, wiring, and panel building for industrial or custom equipment
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from complex electrical schematics and engineering drawings
- Proficiency in using electrical test equipment for troubleshooting and verification
- Deep understanding of NEC standards, LOTO procedures, and industrial electrical safety practices
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide less experienced team members
- Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training in electrical systems strongly preferred
- Ability to safely use forklift and scissors lift
