Summary:

The Associate Nursing Informatics Officer (ANIO) leads the strategic direction for Nursing Informatics and serves as a liaison between nursing, clinical, and information systems leadership. The ANIO fosters collaboration, ensuring seamless integration of technology in nursing and ancillary clinical practice and patient care.

The ANIO guides the development, deployment, optimization, and integration of clinical systems for Presbyterian Delivery System (PDS), applying advanced nursing knowledge to deliver safe and reliable patient care. They also lead technology-enabled process changes to maximize patient safety, quality of care, and operational efficiency.

Job Description:

*Collaborate with Nursing Leadership Council and Information Systems leadership to develop and implement a strategic vision for Nursing Informatics that aligns with organizational goals, ensuring effective integration of clinical information systems and technology to support nursing and ancillary clinical practice, and enhance patient care.
*Act as a change agent, utilizing the Clinical Governance Structure to optimize current systems, collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and address issues related to practice, clinical workflow, and regulatory compliance.
*Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Clinical Informatics Specialist team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
*Provide critical analysis and evaluation of health information technology, recommending nursing perspectives and influence on clinical systems, processes, and workflows to ensure achievement of positive patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, high reliability principles, and development of decision support tools.
*Maintain knowledge of clinical IT systems, leading core teams focused on delivering technology to support safe and reliable patient care. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in Nursing Informatics, leveraging this knowledge for strategic planning and continuous improvement.
*Provide leadership in disaster planning and recovery strategies for nursing, consistent with high reliability principles.
*Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, ensuring successful implementation and ongoing support of clinical information systems.

Additional Job Description:

*Bachelors degree
*Current RN licensure
*8 years of clinical informatics experience
*5 years of nursing experience
*2 years of leadership role in Clinical Informatics or related area
Preferred
*Masters degree in Nursing, Informatics or related field
*Certification in Nursing Informatics or related field
*Epic Certification
