The Division of Preventive Medicine seeks a Per Diem Research Assistant to assist with converting research findings into public health messaging, including development of reports with graphic representations of data. This role is temporary and does not have set hours. The RA will work with the PI as needed on manuscripts, figures, graphs, and other documents. Tasks might include: cleaning data, conducting literature reviews, data analyses, developing graphic displays of the data, contributing to research reports and manuscripts. Candidate should have a strong knowledge and background in literature searches, SAS and R programming and graphics, and scientific or public health writing.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Works directly with the PI group to conduct literature searches and convert research findings into public health messaging, including development of reports with graphic representations of the data.

Education
Bachelor's degree and Master of Public Health or other science-related master's degree required.

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
No

Experience
New master degree graduates with some relevant course/project work in a public health-related field; those without any prior research experience will be considered for the Research Assistant position outlined above.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge and background in literature searches, SAS and R programming and graphics, and scientific or public health writing.
