Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
CNNC advances the capacity of immigrants and refugees by building bridges between immigrant populations and existing communities throughout NC via community-based outreach and advocacy, educational programming, research and evaluation, immigrant and refugee leadership development, cultural brokering, and educational opportunities for faculty and students.
Position Summary
This position will oversee the strategic development and implementation of Community Center programming at the CNNC, assist with establishing and maintaining community relations with key community partners, and contribute to marking and fundraising plans in addition to seeking external funding to assist with community center support and sustainability.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a social science field or a Bachelor's degree in social science field with three years experience working with at risk and immigrant communities.
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English and have an extensive knowledge and experience working with NC Immigrant communities.
  • Must have experience in Cross Cultural Human Services or comparable training and have a knowledge of the North Carolina Human Services systems.
  • A valid NC Driver's license is required.


Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and at least one other language.
  • Experience with the local refugee and immigrant population and understanding of best. practices in cultural brokering.
  • Training in trauma-informed care and cultural humility.
  • Experience with grant reporting and data management.
  • Experience with immigrant-related case management.
