Position Summary
This position is responsible for executing constituency engagement strategies across the college by planning, developing and executing innovative local, regional and national events and programs that build community through engagement across multiple college constituents and partners. Will support the College by managing day-to-day constituent communications and engagement events and activities. Works closely with the College Marketing & Communications team, College Administration team, and staff from the Vice Chancellor for Advancement to further the College's strategy for constituent engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Dean, senior director of development, and other college leaders in developing and executing a strategic plan on increasing alumni and other constituent engagement and financial support.
  • Oversee constituent relations and stewardship activities on behalf of the College and serves as a point of contact with the senior director of development and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Advancement. Includes coordinating and managing constituent impact reports, special donor relations and stewardship projects and events, and constituent acknowledgement processes.
  • Coordinates opportunities for constituent engagement to network within the College. Manages staff to oversee the planning and execution of all college-level constituent events, including but not limited to Alumni Reunion and Honors Convocation.
  • Responsible for developing new events and programs that increase engagement and foster connectivity among college constituents. Drafts remarks, scripts and presentations for the Dean related to these events.
  • Partners with senior director of development to support building major gift pipeline through constituent engagement.
  • Works with College Marketing & Communications to coordinate and manage communications and interactions with constituents as well as executive communications.
  • Develop and oversees volunteer engagement opportunities for college constituents, which may include board/council service, speaking opportunities, mentorship opportunities, and other participation activities as identified. Responsible for tracking constituent engagement and interactions with Dean, other senior deans/leadership, and other boards/committees.
  • In partnership with the Dean and the senior director of development, coordinators, schedules, and executes activities and logistics of the College Advancement Board including recruitment, meeting development, and communication efforts.
  • Manages the preparation of reports, meeting materials, data analytics, and briefings for the Dean, boards, and committees related to constituent engagement efforts.
  • Be liaison between college and all external constituents. Assists the senior director of development with database entries related to donor, prospect, solicitation and proposal activities.
  • Works with the Senior Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs in managing event budgets.
  • Serves on committees, as requested.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • A minimum of three years of experience in constituent engagement or higher education administration.
    • Experience in project and/or events management.
    • Demonstrated ability to provide courteous, timely, and effective customer service to a diverse population of constituents.
    • Able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Able to exhibit a strong portfolio that demonstrates attention to detail
    • Able to demonstrate a robust and collaborative approach to projects in a team-based environment.
    • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • Five (5) years of experience in constituent engagement preferred.
