Requisition Summary
This position will assist the Safety Manager in the development and implementation of Peterbilt's and PacLease's safety and health programs to include accident prevention, safety training, hazardous materials management, ergonomics, Department of Transportation (DOT compliance requirements, and the Plant Emergency Team. The chosen incumbent will assist with the division's safety and occupational health administrative controls to align with corporate's expectations and ensure the division's safety compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local agencies. The position will also assist and manage the safety department resources throughout the division. The core hours for this position are from 4:30 PM - 1:00AM, M-F.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Investigate all injuries and review all accident reports, coordinating corrective measures
- Ability to develop training programs and slide decks for safety and health topics
- Deliverhealth and safetytraining in alignment with the annual training plan and drive 100% completion acrossoperations and support functions
- Observe work practices onsite and strive to create solutions that optimize employee health and wellnessas part of continuous improvement projects
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with management to conduct and execute risk assessments (Job Hazard Analysis) for current jobs performed and new equipment introductions.Recommend anddriveimplementation ofappropriate risk mitigation measures, including ergonomics.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate insafety committeeteams,supportsite safety champions, and other safety-led groups; share best practices across locations
- Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
- Collaborate with departmental representatives to address employee safety concerns
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-3 years experience working in supporting executives in an administrative role.
- Strong computer skills with an advanced level of experience in Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management, and representatives of the company as well as dealers and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills, exhibits a professional demeanor, and possesses strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Must meet physical requirements of the position with or without accommodation.
Education
- Associate degree or related experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in safety related field strongly preferred
