We are seeking a detail-oriented Box Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our Box cloud content management environment. This role is responsible for user administration, security policies, integration, and ensuring efficient collaboration across the organization.


Major Areas of Accountability:


Platform Administration



  • Manage day-to-day administration of the Box platform
  • Configure enterprise settings, storage policies, and access controls
  • Monitor system health, usage, and performance


User & Access Management



  • Provision and deprovision users (manual or via SSO/SCIM)
  • Manage groups, permissions, and folder structures
  • Enforce least-privilege access principles


Security & Compliance



  • Implement and maintain security policies (2FA, device trust, IP restrictions)
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents
  • Support compliance initiatives (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2)


Content Lifecycle Management



  • Define and manage retention policies and legal holds
  • Oversee data classification and governance
  • Assist with content migrations and archival strategies


Integration & Automation



  • Configure integrations with tools like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Slack, etc.
  • Support API usage and automation workflows
  • Coordinate with IT teams on identity providers (Okta, Azure AD)


Reporting & Analytics



  • Generate usage and security reports
  • Provide insights on adoption and optimization opportunities
  • Maintain audit logs and support internal/external audits


End-User Support & Training



  • Act as escalation point for Box-related issues
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and best practices
  • Drive user adoption and proper usage



Required Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent related industry experience.
  • Experience: 5-8+ years of IT collaboration experience, 3-5+ years w/BOX or similar platforms (e.g., SharePoint / OneDrive, Google Workspace (Drive), Dropbox Business)


  • Experience administering Box or similar cloud content platforms (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Understanding of identity management (SSO, SAML, SCIM)
  • Knowledge of access control models and data security principles
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills


  • APIs and custom integrations
  • Box Relay (workflow automation)
  • Connecting Box with enterprise apps (Salesforce, Slack, etc.)
  • Citizenship: US Citizenship is required



Desired Qualifications:



  • Experience in semiconductor or manufacturing including experience with operational technology and industrial networks.

The annual salary range for this role is $78.240-117,360. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
