Core Responsibilities:

Supplier Order Execution & Delivery Management



  • Monitor and manage open purchase orders to ensure supplier adherence to required delivery schedules.
  • Actively track supplier deliveries and maintain daily visibility to shortages, delays, and execution risks.
  • Drive supplier follow-up activities to obtain updated delivery commitments and recovery plans.
  • Expedite critical material requirements to support internal production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery interruptions, shortages, capacity constraints, and priority changes.
  • Escalate significant supplier risks and recovery concerns to leadership in a timely manner.


ERP & System Management



  • Maintain accurate purchase order promise dates and delivery status within ERP systems.
  • Ensure supplier communication and delivery updates are reflected accurately in system data and supplier scorecards.
  • Manage open order reports, past due reports, and other supply chain execution metrics.
  • Support closure of completed purchase orders and resolution of transactional discrepancies.


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Partner closely with Buyers to ensure seamless transition from sourcing/PO placement into execution and fulfillment activities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Receiving teams to support production priorities.
  • Support rapid response efforts during material shortages, supplier disruptions, and schedule changes.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable and suppliers to assist with invoice discrepancies and payment-related issues.


Supplier Performance Management



  • Drive supplier accountability for on-time delivery and responsiveness.
  • Support supplier performance improvement initiatives through consistent communication and follow-through.
  • Identify recurring supplier execution issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in supplier reviews and operational performance discussions as needed.



Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of supply chain, purchasing, production control, planning, or supplier management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience working within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to react quickly to changing production priorities and supply chain disruptions.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration



Experience Highly Desirable:

  • Aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing experience.
  • Experience managing outside processing suppliers and special process vendors.
  • Knowledge of supplier scorecards and delivery performance metrics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with material expediting and shortage management.



Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred
