POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Specialist plays a critical leadership role in driving the growth and innovation of Xtend's Communications department products and services. This position is essential in expanding and refining our member communication business lines, while ensuring that credit union marketing initiatives stay ahead of industry trends and client needs.

In this role, the Senior Project Specialist owns the entire product lifecycle-developing and executing a strategic product vision, leading product development, and overseeing quality assurance. The position also focuses on optimizing user experience, spearheading marketing and sales efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Key responsibilities include exploring and evaluating new product opportunities, launching innovative features, and ensuring seamless market integration. The Senior Project Specialist not only ensures current offerings remain competitive, but also continually identifies and develops new avenues for growth in the communications and marketing landscape.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Manage and maintain Communications products and services by ensuring the effective performance, enhancement, and reliability of Xtend's communications-related products and services, including regular updates and improvements.
  2. Oversee and coordinate multiple projects, utilize advanced project management tools and methodologies to oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  3. Lead product development initiatives. Drive all stages of product development for Communications solutions, from concept and design through to implementation and ongoing support, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  4. Support employee and client education by action as a key educational resource, facilitating onboarding processes and ongoing training sessions for employees and clients, enhancing knowledge of Xtend's communications products and services.
  5. Execute strategic plans for Communications products. Implement the Xtend Strategic Business, Marketing, and Sales plans as they relate to Communications offerings, ensuring consistency with broader company objectives.
  6. Lead Communications projects and product development. Spearhead Communication and digital related projects, focusing on vision, product development, quality, strategy, and user experience to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  7. Conduct marketing and technological research. Perform market analysis and technological research to support marketing campaigns and recurring services (including social media, email, and print), ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  8. Lead sales efforts for Communications products. Champion the sales of Xtend's communications products, working closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, close deals, and exceed sales targets.
  9. Provide operational and client support resources. Support communication staff and clients by identifying and providing operational resources, including product implementation, onboarding, development, and troubleshooting.
  10. Innovate and document new product initiatives. Continuously develop, document, and refine new initiatives while maintaining and improving existing product offerings to meet changing market needs.
  11. Ensure documentation by maintaining and regularly update comprehensive documentation for products, policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring they meet compliance and quality requirements.
  12. Assist in internal and client system support, provide timely resolution of minor issues related to Internal Network Systems and client support to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
  13. Research, compile, and prepare reports, manuals, and correspondence, using visual aids and clear language to translate complex findings into actionable insights.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  2. Two-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  3. Extensive knowledge of credit union operations, regulations, and procedures. CU*BASE experience preferred.
  4. Marketing platform, social media management, digital ad/google ad experience preferred.
  5. Demonstrate the ability and professionalism to interact with key management staff and clients both on the phone and in person.
  6. Knowledge of and experience with fundamental project management processes and methodologies.
  7. Knowledge of what the current industry offers, market trends, competitors, and Credit Union lending and member service policies and procedures.
  8. Ability to consult, gather and evaluate needs, provide advice and recommendations, and partner with leaders to achieve organizational objectives.
  9. Demonstrates analytical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and judgment by gathering and applying relevant data to research and resolve issues.
  10. Ability to prioritize and organize work, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high-volume environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Xtend operates in a professional office building setting. Some job assignments at Xtend are primarily conducted within the office building(s) while others have moderate to extensive travel responsibilities as described in the Job Functions and/or Job Qualifications section(s) above.
