Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Materials Coordinator Supervisor supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB, TN 37389. The Materials Coordinator Supervisor will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for supporting the construction efforts by providing technical support to craft and supervision as well as helping to satisfy quality requirements on the project. Also, initiating action when necessary to ensure the project is being built as specified in the scope of work.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide leadership to site materials coordination personnel at the project site to ensure that materials are provided on time and in sufficient quantity to support the completion of construction work. Ensure accurate reporting of all materials required for work package installation. Monitors the work processes ensuring timely and accurate distribution of materials to Construction and/or Subcontractor installation locations. Develop project workhour estimates and monitors against approved budgets. Assists in establishing long-range objectives and in developing personnel. Provides materials coordination support to project functional groups.

Job Duties:

    Supervises/Managers' material requirements and personnel supporting material requirements for the entire project to ensure all FPR (Field Purchase Requisitions) are complete, correct and entered into OWAM in a timely manner.
  • Provides status updates of large Field Purchase Requisitions in weekly Material Management meetings.
  • Develops material estimates for special projects and monitors the expenditure of materials purchased within an approved budget.
  • Indoctrinates newly assigned Materials Coordinators to AEDC procurement requirements and procedures.
  • Trains newly assigned Field Engineers on completing the Field Purchase Requisitions form to streamline with procurement, storage and inventory control (MatMan).
  • Assists the Materials Manager in interviewing potential new hires, developing personnel to field materials management requirements and establishing long-range personnel objectives.
  • Continuously develops working knowledge pertaining to pricing, vendors, special handling, etc. applicable to each commodity group of materials.
  • Ensures adherence to the Material Responsibility Matrix and maintains daily communications with all phases of requisition approval.
  • Serves as the focal point and subject matter expert for acquisition of all materials, rentals, and outside services required.
  • Implements these planned construction activities and work packaging structure on the project through coordination with Field Engineering, Construction, and/or (Sub) Contractors and Project Controls.
  • Implement planned inventory control mechanisms including updates to engineers of material on hand and disposition if necessary.
  • Participate in construction and/or (Sub) contractor planning meetings to be fully aware of installation plans and priorities.
  • Coordinates with warehouse personnel for materials to be issued directly to the installation area or controlled in storage at the warehouse.
  • Services as subject matter expert for materials stored inside the AEDC warehouse to include a description of the item, quantities on hand, location, PO, date originally stored, NCM issues, and any other relevant information pertaining to the item.
  • Enters work requests and material demands for material to be moved from warehouse storage and to the construction site.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and 9 years experience of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education and progressive and relevant experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Field Procurement operations related to the receipt, storage and control of materials on a project
  • Working knowledge of Field Engineering disciplines, work processes and the deliverables produced
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of applicable AEDC policies, instructions, and procurement procedures and guidelines. Basic experience, skill, and/or training in supervising workload distribution and exection of the work
  • Basic skill in working with and communication effectively with supervisor of other project functional groups, primarily Engineering, Construction and Project Management
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and applicable Agency Supplements
  • Thorough understanding of Governmental Contracts and the flow-down of applicable clauses and requirements
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, requiring little supervision, and able to work well in a team environment. Good working knowledge of AEDC procurement processes and procedures
  • Working knowledge of procurement process implementation, including use of automation tools
  • Working knowledge of all phases of procurement operations relating to field activities
  • Knowledge of Engineering processes and interface requirements impacting field material procurement
  • Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of engineering disciplines, construction technologies, and job site management
