Your Job

We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Lab Technician to support laboratory operations across engineering, research, quality, and process development activities. This role is responsible for hands-on testing, laboratory equipment maintenance, accurate documentation, and support of experiments to ensure they are conducted safely, accurately, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare, set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory and test equipment, including bench instruments, sensors, data acquisition systems, and test rigs
  • Execute routine and non-routine laboratory tests and experiments in accordance with test protocols, SOPs, and engineering instructions
  • Record observations and test data accurately using lab notebooks, LIMS, or other electronic systems; prepare clear test reports and summaries
  • Assist engineers with prototype assembly, instrumentation wiring, sample preparation, and troubleshooting during testing
  • Maintain laboratory inventory; order consumables; and maintain documentation for calibration and maintenance schedules
  • Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on laboratory equipment; coordinate vendor service and calibration as needed
  • Enforce and comply with all safety, environmental, and quality procedures; participate in safety audits and hazard assessments
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to optimize test setups, data collection methods, and cost-saving measures
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance related to product testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems
  • Document and present test results, analyses, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop engineering calculations, documentation, and technical reports
  • Communicate analyses and proposed test solutions clearly and effectively

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • One (1) year or more hands-on laboratory, manufacturing, or field testing experience
  • Experience with electrical and/or mechanical instrumentation, data acquisition systems, or materials testing preferred
  • Experience with instrumentation, sensors, and data logging systems
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

  • Experience testing connector products
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma philosophy and methodology
  • Experience operating vibration shakers
