About The Role

The Senior Commercial Relationship Manager (Senior CRM) is a highly experienced, self-directed commercial lender responsible for originating, structuring, and managing complex credit relationships. The Senior CRM will actively pursue existing and potential clients by supporting the development of high-quality customer relationships. Identifying customer needs through profiling the customer to attain appropriate services and products. This position operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to independently manage a sophisticated portfolio while actively generating new business. The role requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy, and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public and other employees. Self-starter with ability to adapt to change, work under pressure and attention to detail. This position requires great customer service skills, positive attitude and enthusiasm. A Senior CRM requires advanced credit acumen, strong business development capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex loan structures and client needs with minimal oversight.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtain loan applications, properly counsel applicants, analyze financial and related data, determine appropriate pricing and loan structure and make appropriate loan decisions according to bank policies.
  • Review all credit reports, financial statements, tax returns, title insurance commitments and appraisals to ensure all documentation is complete and correct.
  • Monitor and act appropriately on past due loans to ensure compliance with the bank's policies and goals.
  • Active in calling on existing customers, prospective customers, and various community organizations to professionally represent the bank and ensure its continued good standing and growth in the communities we serve.
  • Develop profitable relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Maintain high service standards for all customers internal and external working closely with Chief Banking Officer and President.
  • Work to expand and support the bank's market share consistent with First Security Bank's goals and policies.
  • Actively participate in the bank's call program by contacting existing customers, prospective customers, and various community organizations, ensuring the bank's continued good standing and growth in the community.
  • Various other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
  • Regular and predictable attendance to accomplish job duties and provide in-person contact with customers.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
  • Minimum of 10 years' successful commercial lending experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • The applicant must have strong commercial lending knowledge and experience
  • Expert-level business development skills.
  • Ability to manage the bank's most complex clients and credit structures with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Active and recognized as a leader and resource in the community.
  • Exercises sound judgement and adherence to bank policies. Effectively communicates with key partners to efficiently move credits through the bank established approval and origination process.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Must possess excellent computer system skills, working knowledge of word and excel spreadsheets.
  • Must be capable of positively networking outside the bank
  • Must be capable of a high volume workload while maintaining positive interpersonal relations within the bank staff, existing customers, new customers, and the community in general.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
