Job Summary

The Field Safety Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and wellbeing of field personnel working on electrical construction and service projects. This position provides on-site safety leadership, conducts inspections, supports crews with hazard mitigation, and ensures adherence to company policies, OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and industry best practices. The Field Safety Supervisor partners closely with project managers, foremen, and electricians to maintain a proactive safety culture.


Essential Functions

  • Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
  • Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
  • Conduct daily site visits to active electrical projects to monitor safety performance and compliance.
  • Coach and mentor field employees on safe work practices, electrical hazard awareness, and proper use of PPE.
  • Review, coach and mentor foremen on Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documents.
  • Support operations and project managers through development and implementation of site-specific safety plans.
  • Perform routine safety audits, equipment inspections, and site walkthroughs; document findings and corrective actions.
  • Complete company required safety observations during site visits.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, client, and company safety standards.
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and enforce compliance requirements.
  • Assist with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and development of corrective action plans. Provide direct employee support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.
  • Deliver field training on electrical safety, fall protection, confined space, equipment operation, JSA, and other required topics.
  • Support onboarding of new hires through safety orientation program and company policy review.
  • Complete new employee, random and post incident drug testing on an as needed basis.
  • Routine interact with warehouse operations to assist with safety equipment inspection and facility inspections.
  • Attend client sponsored meetings on an as needed basis to enhance knowledge and relationships with customers.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by manager.
  • Occasional overnight travel will be required to support field operations, audits and projects.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years safety experience as an individual contributor in construction or electrical substation or equivalent background, plus 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of substation and electrical experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to enforce all federal state, local and company safety regulations required.
  • Ability to work independently in remote field environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, digital reporting tools and safety management systems.
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures essential.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are also required.
