Garver has an opening based out of our Tulsa, OK office fora ConstructionInspector (5-10 years).We are looking for a motivated professional who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in supporting high-qualityroadway,bridge, water/wastewater, and aviation projects. In this role, the Construction Inspectorserves as a liaison among contractors, engineers, and clients, and supports inspection, observation, and materials testing efforts across a variety of project types.


This positionworksunder the supervision of the Resident Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Manager assigned to a specific project.The Construction Inspector playsan important rolein supportinginspections and documentation tohelpensure thatprojects arebuiltin accordance withproject plans and specifications.

Applicants must be capable of considerable physical activity in an outdoor setting,including but not limited to light lifting, bending,stoopingand climbing, walking and standing for prolonged periods of time, and regularly operatingmotorvehicles.As a condition of employment, all applicants must consent to a background check, drug screen,andmotor vehiclereport.

Responsibilities:


  • Interpretand understand project plans and specifications while verifying compliance


  • Testmaterials delivered totheproject site to ensure compliance with specifications


  • Documentdaily work activities


  • Travel isrequired.Applicantsmust be willing to acceptshort-term andlong-termout-of-townprojects.


  • Read andinterpretdata, information, and documents


  • Analyzeproblemsandidentifysolutions


  • Perform highly detailed workacrossmultiple concurrent tasks


  • Workeffectivelyundertightdeadlines


  • Interactprofessionallywith staff, contractors, and the public


Qualifications:


  • 5-10 years of experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent


  • Strong ability to prioritize and organize


  • Excellent verbal and writtencommunicationskills


  • Strong working knowledge ofMicrosoftExcel and Word


  • Working knowledge of ODOT and OTA specifications


  • Materials testing experienceandrelevantcertifications


Preferred:


  • Familiaritywith grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, water distribution systems, concrete/asphalt paving, roadway bridge construction, water/wastewater plants, and site design projects


  • OHCMT Materials Sampling and Testing certification


  • Site Manager/AASHTOWareapplication experience


  • Computer skills for digital documentation


  • Bluebeamexperience


  • Pipeline inspection experience


  • Surveyexperience
