Press Attendant

Shift: Night
Shift Premium Amount: $1.50
Pay Rate: $19.25

I. Basic Function:

Prepare the press for order set up by the operator and convert plain material into printed material.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Pre-stage all inks, materials at the press prior to the changeover.
2. Change inks per production order.
3. Change blades and seals; correct build-up and break down of doctor blade chambers.
4. Load and un-load material on and off the press using material handling devices.
5. Band all out-going materials and transport to the warehouse using material moving vehicle (prime mover or pallet jack).
6. Monitor print quality and additional attributes in conjunction with the Operator or during Operator breaks.

III. Other Requirements:
1. Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.
2. Ability to pass a hue and color vision assessment.
3. Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained.

IV. Tool, Equipment and Material Requirements:
1. Use of site approved tools only, loupe, dyne pen, hoist.
2. Operation of motorized material handling devices.
3. Responsible for equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.

Safety Requirements:
1. Wear all required PPE & PFS: beard/hair net, hearing protection, safety glasses, bump cap, and safety shoes.
2. Perform all duties using safe work methods.
3. Complies with all established site and department safety rules and policies.
4. Report unsafe conditions, all accidents and near misses immediately to supervisor or his/her designate.
