As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Concierge in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. In this dynamic role, you will support access awareness, observe daily activity, and communicate clearly with guests and staff while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative culture and commitment to teamwork, care, and integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, team members, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and documenting activity according to post guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor high-traffic areas, observe customer and employee interactions, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Support access control and after-hours closing procedures by checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and communicating security-related information to site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
