Job Summary:
The Department of Mathematics at UW-Madison is seeking a Learning Center Coordinator to join our Math Learning Center team. This position offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment including a broad range of challenging and varied responsibilities. The MLC Coordinator position functions as a first point of contact for students and student workers in the Math Learning Center (MLC). In this role, the coordinator engages daily with tutors and students seeking academic support, providing guidance and addressing problems as they occur. A primary responsibility of the person in this role is to coordinate and manage scheduling for approximately 70 undergraduate student employees and 30 graduate students across 5 different MLC services as well as timesheet approval for the undergraduate employees. The coordinator also serves as the direct supervisor for approximately 7-10 MLC Front Desk student employees. Under the direction of the Director of the Math Learning Center, the person in this role will conduct independent work and provide data-driven recommendations for enhancing critical administrative operations in the Math Learning Center. This detail-oriented position requires excellent administrative, organizational, communication (verbal, written, and electronic), and leadership skills as well as computer proficiency. It requires considerable professionalism, confidentiality, independent initiative, sound judgement, analytic ability, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage competing priorities as well as the ability to work independently in dealing with a diverse workload with frequent interruptions and varied responsibilities. This position is 100% onsite. Key Job Responsibilities:

Compensation:The minimum starting salary for this position is $26.00 per hour but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
