Electrical Engineer - Hardware
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, test, and release of hardware products and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a wide variety of work, from PCB design and prototype bring-up to lab testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and vendor coordination. The role offers exposure to multiple phases of the product lifecycle and the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into reliable, manufacturable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and development of electronic hardware, including schematics, multi layer PCB layouts, and supporting documentation. Includes circuit design.
- Support prototype builds, board bring-up, debugging, and validation activities in the lab.
- Perform electrical testing, data collection, analysis, and troubleshooting to verify performance and reliability.
- Develop, build and use of test fixtures, test setups, and design-for-test considerations to improve validation and production efficiency.
- Work with team to review requirements, component selections, and design updates.
- Coordinate with PCB fabrication, assembly, and component suppliers to help manage technical questions, lead times, and design-related issues.
- Help prepare bills of materials, test plans, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and other internal teams to support product development and production readiness.
- Participate in root cause investigations and contribute to corrective actions for hardware-related issues.
- Support multiple projects and tasks at once in a fast-paced engineering environment.

- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium.
- Experience routing mixed signal Printed Circuit Boards (analog and digital)
- Experience designing boards to standards (UL 840 preferred)
- Firm understanding of EMI mitigation and immunity techniques
- Prefer experience testing boards for FCC Certification
- Experience soldering and reworking boards
- Experience using common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers is a plus.
- Knowledge of C, C++, C#, and /or JAVA programming languages and knowledge of development environments for programmable logic controller (PLC) are a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external vendors.
