Pay Rate $19.25 per hour + $.75 shift premium

Night shift

Purpose of the Position:

The primary function of this position is to oversee, monitor and facilitate training for sanitation employees. These functions include providing direction, guidance and assistance to Sanitarian III team members, administering supplies and materials, documenting line assignments, training progress, cross-training matrix, and other paperwork per company requirements, assigning and providing coverage for sanitarian positions, maintaining an efficient flow of the sanitation process and ensure all Safety and Good Manufacturing Procedures are understood and adhered to.

Job functions:



  • Teach new employees work tasks and techniques. Review job descriptions and/or safety documents related to sanitation positions. Inform supervisor of daily progress of employees as required. Provide training for new hires/transfers and on-going, remedial or updated training for existing employees as required.
  • Provide direction, guidance, assistance, and fill-in for the sanitarian positions as required.
  • Assists with cross-training of employees which may include shadowing, hands on teaching, explaining and evaluating new or current employees
  • Conduct plant tours for new employees, facilitate and/or assist with new hire trainings (including GMP, safety and general topics).
  • Administer supplies, ensuring correct materials and quantities are delivered to the appropriate area and/or removed as scheduled.
  • Ensure the work area is clear and clean, monitor cleaning and the daily equipment maintenance and ensure trash is placed in proper receptacles.
  • Dry tools, equipment, machines, walls, floors and reassemble machinery as required
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties, and complete all required paperwork.
  • All other duties as assigned.



Requirements:



  • Able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits for his/her coworkers
  • Ability to understand and perform the various tasks to standards established for the department
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements; lifting 50 lbs. climbing ladders and stairs, standing for prolonged periods
  • Ability to read written instructions and communicate verbally in English with management and hourly employees; bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical skills
  • Work experience specific to the department preferred
  • Must have a good employment record
  • Must be able to understand and follow all written SSOP's
  • Must be able to understand MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
  • Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
  • Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check
