The Executive Director of the Patient Financial Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all self-pay revenue cycle functions, including professional fee and hospital self-pay collections. This role is responsible for optimizing collections performance, minimizing bad debt, and ensuring compliant, patient-centered financial practices across the organization. Directs the development and execution of strategies related to self-pay accounts receivable, including early-out collections, bad debt recovery, and vendor management. They oversee financial assistance programs, ensuring regulatory compliance while promoting patient access and satisfaction. Additionally, the role manages processes related to bankruptcy and estate accounts, ensuring appropriate handling, recovery, and legal compliance. This leader is accountable for financial counseling operations, ensuring patients receive clear guidance on financial obligations, payment options, and assistance programs. They collaborate cross-functionally with revenue cycle, compliance, legal, and clinical leadership to improve workflows, enhance patient experience, and drive financial performance. Key responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, implementing process improvements, managing internal teams and external partners, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations, and developing long-term strategies to improve self-pay collections and reduce uncompensated care. Salary Range: Minimum 214,102.00/annually - Maximum 261,178.00/annually. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
