Summary of Job Duties:The Nurse Informaticist (NI) Intermediate combines clinical expertise and information science to design, implement, and evaluate informatics solutions and health IT applications. They translate clinical needs into seamless technology functions, ensuring efficient EHR workflows. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, IT, and Clinical Informatics, the NI drives system improvements, supports data-driven performance, and enhances documentation accuracy. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Bachelors in Nursing
  • Five (5) years of Registered Nursing experience
  • Valid AR RN License
  • Obtain ANCC or other relevant certification in Nursing Informatics within 2 years of obtaining position

    PreferredQualifications:

    • Masters in Nursing Science or related field ,
    • Experience in academic setting
    • MSN, ANCC certification in Nursing Informatics;
    • Current Epic certification in a clinical application related to nursing

    Special knowledge, abilities and skills:

    • Must demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Teams.
    • Obtain and maintain certification in appropriate Epic application within first year of employment
    • Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards of various organizations/ agencies (TJC, CMS, ADH etc
    • Experience in managing multiple priorities, projects and deadlines

    • Analyze and integrate clinical needs into technology solutions, including EHR workflows.

    • Identify, collect, and analyze clinical data to support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

    • Provide consultation on hardware and software configurations.

    • Lead and coordinate projects to evaluate operational needs, enhance workflows, and optimize clinical care.

    • Serve as an operational leader within the EHR quadrapod structure, ensuring effective communication and project management.

    • Provide expert consultation and decision-support tools to managers, clinicians, and providers across various healthcare settings.

    • Collaborate with leadership to embed regulatory standards and quality initiatives into the EHR, ensuring alignment with EVP objectives.

    • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to refine EHR systems, supporting continuous improvement in documentation, quality, and clinical workflows.
