DESCRIPTION

The Registered Nurse provides care in the home and/or at the ambulatory infusion suite for skilled nursing assessment and nursing care with a focus on IV therapy. Main activities include administering parenteral medications, providing patient education, maintaining IV catheters, and performing lab draws.

Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously, consistent with the ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. All performance expectations associated with this position are performed at the practitioner level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.

  • RN License issued by the State of California.

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent RN experience in Home Infusion, Ambulatory Infusion Suite, or Specialty Pharmacy Infusion.

  • Hands-on experience delivering infusion therapy independently in home or outpatient settings.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in IV starts (peripheral and central access), PICC, port, and central line care, medication administration, and patient monitoring.

  • Demonstrated ability in providing compassionate, patient-centered nursing care, adapting clinical skills to diverse home and community environments, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • BSN.

  • Four (4+) or more years of recent experience in Home Health or Home Infusion.

  • ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification.

  • Knowledge of the administration of biological agents and chemotherapy.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $190,342 - $190,342 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $91.16 - $91.16

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
