Who You Are: Versar Global Solutions is seeking a Geospatial Resilience Solutions Architect to support the growth of its Geospatial Decision Support (GDS) capability within the Environmental Management Services (EMS) Market Sector. This role will support the development of advanced geospatial, remote sensing, AI-enabled, and environmental modeling solutions that help government and commercial clients better understand and respond to resilience challenges including flooding, erosion, wildfire, water security, landscape degradation, and infrastructure vulnerability. The successful candidate will work across interdisciplinary technical teams to design and implement innovative geospatial workflows, analytics pipelines, and decision-support tools that integrate environmental science, machine learning, remote sensing, and spatial data analysis. The position will support a growing portfolio of digital resilience and environmental intelligence applications, with opportunities to contribute to proposal development, technical strategy, customer engagement, and long-term capability growth. This role is ideal for a technically strong and highly collaborative individual with expertise in GIS, Python-based analytics, environmental systems, and geospatial data integration who is interested in helping shape next-generation resilience and decision-support capabilities. What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement geospatial and environmental modeling workflows supporting resilience analysis related to flooding, erosion, wildfire, water security, infrastructure vulnerability, and landscape change.
- Build reusable geospatial, machine learning, and remote sensing pipelines using tools such as Python, ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth Engine, and cloud-based geospatial platforms.
- Integrate diverse environmental datasets including remote sensing products, terrain data, hydrologic information, climate datasets, and field observations into scalable analytical workflows.
- Support development of AI-enabled geospatial decision-support applications and visualization tools for government and commercial clients.
- Coordinate across interdisciplinary technical teams to ensure analytical outputs, visualizations, and technical findings are communicated effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to project planning, technical execution, and workstream coordination across multiple concurrent projects.
- Support proposal development, technical scoping, white papers, capability development, and identification of strategic partners and collaborators.
- Assist in development of innovative approaches that combine geospatial analytics, environmental science, machine learning, and resilience planning.
- Support the evolution of internal geospatial and resilience analytics capabilities through development of repeatable tools, standards, and workflows.
- Participate in customer engagements, technical briefings, workshops, and collaborative solution development efforts.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong GIS and geospatial analytics capabilities using ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Python for geospatial analysis, automation, data processing, and/or machine learning workflows.
- Knowledge of environmental systems, earth sciences, hydrology, climate science, landscape processes, or related disciplines.
- Experience integrating remote sensing and spatial datasets into analytical and visualization workflows.
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and environmental data applications.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly through maps, dashboards, visualizations, and presentations.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple technical workstreams simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with environmental resilience, hazard analysis, or nature-based solutions applications.
- Familiarity with cloud-based geospatial analysis environments and large environmental datasets.
- Experience supporting federal clients, defense installations, infrastructure resilience programs, or environmental planning initiatives.
- Experience contributing to business development, proposal writing, or technical capture efforts.
- Experience developing reusable analytical frameworks, data pipelines, or decision-support tools.
- Interest in advancing AI-enabled environmental and geospatial applications.
Growth Opportunity
- This role is intended to evolve over time toward increasing technical leadership and project responsibility, including opportunities to lead project workstreams, manage client relationships, oversee multidisciplinary teams, and help shape the strategic direction of Versar's digital resilience and geospatial analytics capabilities.
Compensation Expected Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year Versar Global Solutions provides the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the Company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
