Pittsburgh, PA

Schedule: Saturday- Wednesday, starting at 6am-2pm. Off Thursday and Friday
Pay: $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for implementing and maintaining merchandising standards across assigned customer accounts while delivering exceptional customer service and product presentation. This role supports product rotation, display execution, shelf organization, and sales support activities to maximize product visibility and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently within a route-based environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Provide merchandising, customer service, and sales support on assigned routes
  • Rotate products from back stock to shelves, displays, and cold storage locations
  • Maintain and enhance permanent and temporary product displays within customer accounts
  • Assist Account Sales Managers with display setup and promotional execution during route support activities
  • Perform Account Sales Manager route coverage responsibilities as needed
  • Review product code dates during each account visit to ensure product freshness and quality
  • Remove damaged, expired, dented, or unsellable products from shelves, displays, and cold storage locations
  • Notify appropriate personnel regarding out-of-stock items, damaged products, or product exchange needs
  • Ensure products are merchandised according to shelf schematics and merchandising standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of cold equipment, racks, and point-of-sale materials
  • Monitor competitor activity including new product launches and pricing changes, and communicate findings to management
  • Establish and maintain professional customer relationships to support sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly sales meetings
  • Support brand standards and company initiatives at all customer locations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous merchandising, retail, beverage, or sales experience preferred
  • Knowledge of beverage or consumer packaged goods environments preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Basic mathematical skills required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Reliable personal vehicle required for work-related travel
  • Must maintain minimum required vehicle insurance coverage
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • DOT Medical Card required
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned routes effectively


Work Experience



  • Prior merchandising, route sales, retail, or customer-facing experience preferred
  • Experience supporting product displays, stocking, or inventory rotation preferred
  • Experience within beverage, food service, or consumer goods industries preferred
