Purpose of the Role

The Senior Director, Supply Chain provides strategic and operational leadership to Supply Chain teams across complex projects and programs, ensuring alignment with Worley's ambition to be recognized globally as a leader in sustainability solutions. The role is responsible for driving integrated Supply Chain strategies that support safe, sustainable, efficient, and commercially successful project execution while enhancing customer value and operational performance. This role partners closely with Business Development, Project Delivery, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and executive leadership teams to develop differentiated Supply Chain solutions that strengthen Worley's competitive position and support sustainable project outcomes. The position plays a critical role in advancing operational excellence, fostering collaboration across regions and functions, and leading high-performing teams in dynamic multicultural environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to Supply Chain teams across multiple projects, business units, and operational functions.
- Develop and implement integrated Supply Chain strategies that support Worley's sustainability ambitions, operational objectives, and customer commitments.
- Lead the delivery of Supply Chain solutions across complex energy, chemicals, and resources projects, ensuring alignment with project execution strategies and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Project Delivery teams to support proposal development, competitive bids, and customer engagement activities through innovative and value-driven Supply Chain solutions.
- Provide expert guidance across logistics, materials management, procurement support, and related Supply Chain disciplines to improve project performance and delivery outcomes.
- Support project teams through proactive operational leadership, contract interpretation, issue resolution, risk mitigation, and peer review activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance Supply Chain performance, digital integration, operational efficiency, sustainability outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and oversee policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and best practices that strengthen operational consistency and support long-term business objectives.
- Foster strong collaboration across engineering, construction, procurement, and project management functions to ensure integrated and data-centric project delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams through inclusive leadership, knowledge sharing, coaching, and succession planning initiatives.
- Promote a culture of safety, ethical conduct, accountability, sustainability, and operational excellence across all Supply Chain activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support strategic growth and successful project delivery.
- Contribute to organizational strategy development by identifying emerging industry trends, sustainability opportunities, supply market developments, and operational risks.
- Support the development and implementation of systems, tools, and digital solutions that improve Supply Chain visibility, reporting, collaboration, and decision-making capability.
- Represent Supply Chain functions in executive-level discussions, presentations, and strategic business reviews.
Qualifications / Skill Set
- Degree qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, Commercial Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience within energy, chemicals, resources, infrastructure, or industrial project environments.
- Significant leadership experience within Supply Chain, logistics, materials management, procurement, project delivery, or related operational functions supporting large-scale industrial or energy projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex operational functions across global or multicultural project environments.
- Strong understanding of integrated Supply Chain strategies across the full project lifecycle, including planning, sourcing, logistics, materials management, construction support, commissioning, and operational readiness.
- Proven capability in developing strategic solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen project delivery performance, and support sustainability objectives.
- Experience supporting major proposals, customer pursuits, and project execution strategies within engineering, procurement, and construction environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain systems, digital tools, operational processes, governance frameworks, and performance management methodologies.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience interpreting contracts, managing operational risk, and supporting successful business outcomes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills with the ability to influence at executive and customer levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex operational challenges through collaborative leadership and strategic decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to identify innovative and practical solutions in fast-paced project environments.
