Overview

The Global Communications team is seeking a Senior HR Communications Partner to develop and execute strategic HR communication programs and campaigns that inspire, engage, inform, and align our global workforce throughout this critical period of integration and transformation. This role will be instrumental in shaping the employee experience across key moments that matter by designing cohesive, human-centered communication journeys across HR programs as we unite our talent, capabilities, and culture.

We are looking for someone who can think strategically, craft compelling narratives around complex people programs, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and execute the plan. The successful candidate will be collegial, data-driven, and business-minded, with proven experience in employee and HR communications and the demonstrated ability to provide valuable, results-oriented counsel to internal stakeholders at all levels. If you are a creative thinker and writer who thrives "outside of the box" and a self-starter who is unafraid of iteration and learning, we want to hear from you.

This role reports into the Head of Employee Communications and will be embedded with the HR Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

Strategic HR Communications

Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, providing strategic counsel on how communication can shape and enable HR programs, decisions, and employee experience.
  • Develop and execute multi-channel communication strategies for key HR programs and initiatives, including performance management, total rewards and benefits, talent development, organizational design, and employee engagement surveys.
  • Translate complex HR policies, programs, and changes into clear, compelling, and accessible messaging for a diverse global workforce, including non-desk and manufacturing employees.
  • Partner with the Head of Employee Communications to integrate HR communications into the broader channel mix, ensuring a balanced cadence across email, intranet (Inside Waters), town halls, digital signage, and other platforms

HR Integration Communications

  • Serve as the dedicated communications partner supporting HR through the integration of BD Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions, ensuring employees experience a smooth, transparent, and well-communicated transition.
  • Develop communications around critical integration milestones, including HR systems transitions, organizational design changes, policy harmonization, and cultural integration initiatives.
  • Support change management communications that build leadership capability, foster collaboration across legacy organizations, and drive conviction for the new Waters.

Operational Excellence

  • Plan and execute day-to-day HR communication needs, managing editorial calendars and content workflows to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Document internal communication policies, procedures, and playbooks as lessons are learned.
  • Define success metrics tied to business outcomes (e.g., adoption, engagement, retention) and continuously optimize communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in employee, HR, or internal communications, with demonstrated success developing and executing measurable, multi-channel strategies-ideally within a global organization undergoing transformation or integration.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to align communication plans to corporate and HR priorities and tailor approaches to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling capabilities, with a proven ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging messages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of diverse employee audiences, including global, non-desk, and newly integrated workforces.
  • Proven ability to build effective partnerships and collaborate with HR leaders, business partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive messaging.
  • Strong program management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex initiatives, multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting large-scale organizational change and/or M&A integration communications is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of core HR programs, including performance management, total rewards, engagement surveys, and organizational design.
  • An analytical and insight-driven mindset, with experience using employee feedback and sentiment to refine communication strategies.
  • A proactive, problem-solving, and growth-oriented mindset, with the ability to prioritize and adapt quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; experience with internal communications platforms, content management systems, and digital content creation tools is a plus.
  • Experience in the life sciences, diagnostics, or healthcare industry is a plus.
