If you thrive on detailed inspection, problem-solving, and hands-on repair, this is an incredible opportunity to play a key part in maintaining world-class technological infrastructure. **What You'll Do:** As a core member of this team, you will be responsible for a range of critical quality assurance activities designed to protect and maintain high-value hardware. Your daily contributions will ensure that components meet rigorous standards, preventing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency. You will collaborate with site leadership and other personnel to uphold best practices and drive continuous improvement in hardware handling and maintenance. * Perform specialized damage inspections and repairs on critical parts.
* Conduct rapid testing of components for re-inventory, processing approximately 100 boards per week.
* Verify reported damage on parts, ensuring accuracy and proper quarantine for up to 100 parts weekly.
* Execute repairs on damaged hardware components.
* Clean thermal paste from processors to prepare them for reuse or further inspection.
* Straighten bent connectors on various electronic parts.
* Replace missing components such as processor carrier frames and dust covers.
* Conduct periodic audits of handling, electrostatic discharge (ESD) processes, and packaging methods across different touch points within the environment.
* Support key field campaigns and contribute to failure investigations.
* Identify and escalate issues that contribute to part damage.
* Assist in implementing and refining processes for damaged parts, ensuring they are correctly verified, quarantined, and separated from functional inventory.
* Conduct spot checks in process staging areas to ensure proper handling, packaging, and storage of parts. **Must-Have Qualifications:** * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
* 3+ years of experience in a technical field.
* General knowledge of electronic parts and components used in advanced hardware (e.g., Motherboards, DIMMs, Hard Drives, network cards, Optic components).
* Ability to perform 1st Level Failure Analysis (FA) for electronic parts.
* Familiarity with typical mechanical defects found in electronic components and hardware.
* Ability to sit for extended periods (several hours at a time) performing detailed inspection of electronic parts and components.
* Familiarity with simple inspection equipment such as stereo microscopes and ring lights.
* Proficiency in using a PC for data recording and reporting.
* Ability to write clear process instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with and influence others effectively.
* Ability to handle medium to heavy materials, including lifting, pushing, and pulling. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Quality Assurance background within the electronics industry.
* Experience in troubleshooting and repair of server, storage, and networking products.
