Position Summary
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement to include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

The Office of Library Development is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and tactical implementation of all activities in support of fundraising for the University Libraries. This includes principal, major, annual, planned, and institutional giving, as well as special events, gift reporting, gift acknowledgement, stewardship, donor relations, and development communications. In addition, the Office of Library Development manages the activities of the Friends of the Library Board of Directors.

The Development Coordinator should be an organized, collaborative, and highly motivated individual who would like to contribute to the growing Friends of the Library program at Carolina. The Development Coordinator reports to the Director of Annual Giving and will provide full-time support for the goals and objectives of the University Library Development Department. The position is responsible for managing key areas of the administrative operations within the Department including processing gifts and maintaining donor records in compliance with University policies and procedures, assisting in the planning and implementation of events, data management, and providing project support for annual giving and donor relations activities. In addition, this position serves as a primary liaison to the University Development Office regarding gift processing, gift/pledge corrections and constituent records in the donor database.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
* Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems
* Experience in donor relations and stewardship in a higher education environment
* Ability to manage multiple tasks under stringent deadlines
* Proven track record of delivering high-stakes events
* Experience using Office 365 - Excel and Word
