Under general supervision, the Shipping Clerk independently prepares materials, products, and supplies for outbound shipments. Verifies shipped items and maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies the proper shipping of materials, products, or supplies. Perform related functions as needed. Which tasks will you perform? You will:
- Prepares products for intermediate packaging.
- Inserts items into containers using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
- Bottles finished with pH sensors and related kits. Uses bottling equipment and KCL solutions.
- Must maintain a dry and organized environment when working at bottling station.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Accurately and neatly affixes shipping labels on packed cartons.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
- Assist in inventory cycle counts when needed.
- Expected to accurately read Bills of Materials and Production Routers.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Assist in materials-receiving functions when needed.
- Assist in warehouse Kaizen events as needed.
What do we expect from you? You:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of shipping experience.
- Receiving and logistics support tasks and record keeping functions preferred.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to effective solutions.
- Certification in the handling and storage of hazardous materials and specialized training in materials shipping procedures.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or additional hours as needed.
- Knowledge of packaging and shipping practices.
- Knowledge of shipping carriers and rate structures.
- Knowledge of shipping software programs.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials management and storage practices.
- Knowledge of record keeping practices and procedures.
- Operate personal computer to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and SAP applications.
- Operate a calculator, facsimile equipment and related office equipment.
- Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- The ability to be on your feet for the duration of the entire shift.
The listed salary range for this position is $20 to $26 per hour, but the actual package offered may vary depending on different factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
