About us

To develop and implement approach to the on-going management of business risk and opportunity activities. To provide expert opinion and guidance to senior management in respect of operational risk, designing, implementing and maintaining the operational risk appetite and working closely with relevant team(s) to ensure that strategic risk and opportunities are identified.

  • Establish and maintain the function's risk appetite with senior team members to ensure that strategic and operational decisions are at the forefront of Executive decision making.
  • Manage the function's strategic and operational risks, reviewing existing and challenging new risk to ensure consistent application of risk scoring and mitigation.
  • Undertake regular 'deep dives' for targeted strategic and operational risks to analyse the effectiveness of risk evaluation and mitigating actions..
  • Continuously review and improve processes for business risk management, working closely with relevant teams and functions to identify, collate, propose and implement improvements.
  • Provide expert opinion and guidance to leadership teams in respect of the operational and strategic risk management processes.
  • Proactive interaction with relevant team to identify strategic risk and opportunity and to develop the journeys required to mitigate risk or develop opportunity.
Qualifications
  • Degree standard or demonstrable business experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Membership of the Institute of risk management is essential
  • Institute of Asset Management Qualification is preferred

$145k - $170k a year in Brooklyn, NY or Melville, NY

$135k - $158k a year in Waltham, MA.
