Job Summary

Nidec AMEC is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Generalist II to serve as the onsite HR anchor for our Troy, Michigan office. This role is highly dynamic, requiring a balance of tactical execution and strategic support.

The successful candidate will manage daily HR operations for the Troy site-including payroll, compensation and benefits, policy management, organizational development, and manager coaching. Additionally, this position plays a critical cross-border role by providing direct recruitment support for our manufacturing and operational sites in Mexico.

Job Description

Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (HR Certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is a strong plus).

Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role.

Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred to effectively support the Mexico site recruitment and communication.

Technical Skills: * Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, or similar) and payroll systems.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Knowledge: Solid understanding of multi-state (specifically Michigan) and federal labor laws. Familiarity with Mexican labor laws is a bonus.

Soft Skills:

High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in an onsite capacity.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and coach managers effectively.
