STRUCTURAL offers a wide range of specialty repair and maintenance services and is the largest concrete repair contractor in the United States, with roughly 2,500 employees working from locations nationwide and in select international markets. STRUCTURAL is the open-shop contracting business line of Structural Group.

We are seeking a motivated Safety Specialist to support and promote a strong safety culture across our projects. This role is ideal for early-career safety professionals looking to grow within construction and industrial environments while making a direct impact on jobsite safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and project teams by clearly communicating safety expectations and addressing concerns proactively

  • Support a collaborative safety culture across assigned projects

  • Assist with implementation of safety procedures, programs, and compliance initiatives

  • Conduct safety training, onboarding, and orientation sessions for project teams

  • Facilitate field safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments

  • Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and company safety policies

  • Maintain project-level documentation, including reports, safety logs, and claims tracking

  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective action implementation

  • Support project teams with confined space, rigging, fall protection, and other safety programs

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of safety processes and procedures

Qualifications

  • Degree in EHS, Safety, Emergency Response, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 1-3 years of related safety experience in construction or industrial environments

  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)

  • Additional certifications such as First Aid/CPR/AED, Confined Space, or Fall Protection are a plus

Core Competencies

  • Strong understanding of construction safety standards and regulatory requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with field teams and leadership

  • Knowledge of hazard recognition and risk mitigation practices

  • Basic understanding of structural systems and construction methods

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management tools (e.g., Procore, SharePoint)

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

  • Partner with project teams to ensure safe work practices are followed

  • Deliver safety training and reinforce compliance in the field

  • Conduct audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks

  • Assist in managing safety documentation and reporting

  • Support continuous improvement of safety programs
