One of BMC Brighton Medical-Surgical Units, B6/Telemetry is a 32-bed unit providing care for intermediate level medical-surgical patients. The patient population consists of a wide range of general medical diagnoses and conditions with a specialty in Cardiology. Prospective candidates for this unit must demonstrate culture competence and professional integrity in the pursuit of optimal patient care and enjoy the variety of clinical experiences that the specialty of Medical Surgical Nursing provides.

Location: Med Surg

Schedule: B6 Telemetry, 36 Hour Night 12 Hour Shifts, Every 3rd Weekend and Holiday nights

POSITION SUMMARY:

As an RN in the Medical Surgical Unit, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
  • Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
  • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
  • Update and manage patient records
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information
  • Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC's nursing organization
  • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects



JOB REQUIREMENTS:



  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
  • 1+ years of RN experience preferred
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS)required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life support(ACLS) certification required 90 days of hire
  • PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
  • Basic computer proficiency

Every 3rd Weekend and Holidays

Compensation Range:

$39.02- $90.05

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
